CALUMET CITY | T.F. South's victory over East Aurora on Sunday at the Bob Hambric Shootout was saved by the backboard.
On what would have been a game winning three-pointer at the buzzer, East Aurora's shot attempt grazed the top of the backboard and wiring before falling through the hoop. The shot was called off, and the Rebels held on for the 55-53 victory.
