Evelyn Lahaie, the Jackson 5

- Evelyn Lahaie, of Wanatah put a different classified ad in local newspapers asking for people to audition for her local talent agency. Joe Jackson, Michael's father, responded to the ad. She booked them at a show at the Big Top. Joe wanted to call the group "The Jackson Brothers" but Evelyn said it was too generic, and she suggested the Jackson 5. She describes Michael as a sweet, gentle, soft-spoken man, and his death has been hard on her, as she said she cried all afternoon Thursday.
